Girl power in abundance for International Women’s Day

We held a special all-girls assembly today, ahead of International Women’s Day tomorrow, and what an inspiring one it was!

Miss Egan talked about her female role models, who included Emmeline Pankhurst, Harper Lee and her mother, and encouraged students to think about theirs.

She also presented some shocking statistics about the number of girls worldwide who don’t benefit from a proper education, and the gender pay gap.

Students were given pledge cards, stating ways in which they would #BeBoldForChange and work to improve women’s rights for future generation.
