Students shine in Poole Passion Play

The Poole Passion Play opened in spectacular style last night, with St Aldhelm’s students playing their part in its success.

Several Year 10 students are taking part in the play, entitled ‘Through the Eyes of a Child,’ which had its opening night on Tuesday and will run for the rest of this week.

The opening night was filmed by BBC’s Songs of Praise and will be aired on Easter Sunday. The production team heaped praise on our students, saying that they are a credit to the school and themselves and showed great discipline and professionalism.

Music tacher Nick Sanders said: “I have to say I was immensely proud of our Year 10 students who played their part in which was a great opening night. Special mention must go to Jacob Bland who has put his heart and soul into the production and not only gave a great performance as a Roman guard but also took the lead in one of the cameos of Peter’s Denial of Christ following the Last Supper.”
