Year 11 students met with their academic coach today, to review their current progress and the actions that need to be completed to achieve their GCSE target grades.
Selected Year 11 pupils have been allocated their own academic coach – a senior member of the school staff who is working with them to prepare for the upcoming exams. Students hold regular meetings with their coaches and the latest of these was a brunch event in the academy’s canteen.
Students tucked into bacon and sausage baguettes as they discussed revision sessions, effective revision strategies, stress management and identifying and filling topic gaps in learning. Pupils were also encouraged to attend the Year 11 Parent/Student Revision Skills Evening on Thursday, January 28th from 4.30 – 6pm.
The next Academic Coaching breakfast will take place at 8am on Tuesday 26 January.
