Another successful academic coaching session was held today – this time over breakfast.
In the latest of a series of personalised coaching sessions, Year 11 students tucked into bacon and sausages as they reviewed the progress they are making towards their target GCSE grades.
Selected Year 11 pupils have been allocated their own academic coach – a senior member of the school staff who is working with them to prepare for the upcoming exams. Students hold regular meetings with their coaches, including brunches and breakfasts.
The sessions are helping students with effective revision strategies, stress management and identifying and filling topic gaps in learning. Pupils were also encouraged to attend the Year 11 Parent/Student Revision Skills Evening on Thursday, January 28th from 4.30 – 6pm.
