GCSE results highlight the progress made by SAA students

St Aldhelm’s Academy is delighted to report a Progress 8 figure of +0.38. This figure is well above national average (-0.03, 2017) and reflects the impressive progress that our students have made across their best eight subjects, including English, Maths and Science regardless of their prior ability.  Principal Jon Webb said: “I am hugely appreciative of all the hard work that everyone at St Aldhelm’s Academy puts in to secure these outcomes.”

As always, a number of students achieved particularly well and these included:

Jake Baxter

3 Grade 8s in Science (combined) and English literature, 1 grade 7 in Maths, 3 grade 6s in English language, History and Geography and a level 5 in Computer Science.

Maisie Kirk

2 grade 8s in English language and literature, 2 Distinction* in Business Studies and Dance, 3 grade 7s in Science (combined) and Geography and 2 level 6s in Maths and Spanish.

Callum Phillips

1 Distinction* in Business Studies, 1A* in Child development, 4 grade 7’s in Maths, English literature, Geography and Science, 2 grade 6s in English language and 1 grade 5 in Spanish.

Karina Szilagyi

3 Distinctions in Business studies, Music and Dance, 5 grade 6’s in Science (combined), Maths, English language and Geography and 1 grade 5 in English literature.
