Our expectation of our teachers to engage, motivate, and inspire our students in their lessons is relentless.

Put simply, we demand well planned lessons, that are carefully adapted to support students who may struggle with their learning, whilst stretching our students who are more able or gifted, in order that all students make outstanding progress.

The quality of our lessons is monitored regularly by both senior leaders and curriculum leaders. Through lesson observations, curriculum book looks and collaborative meetings with teachers, we ensure that our curriculum learning is engaging, inclusive, supportive and challenging. This quality assurance reflects and ensures our school values of ‘Belong, Explore and Flourish’ are at the heart of everything we do.

Alongside this, teachers are required to complete frequent and specific professional development to ensure that their teaching is first class, inclusive and develops a thirst for learning amongst our students that is life-long! In-house professional development around teaching and learning and subject specific training is scheduled, attended and valued by all of our practitioners. The love of learning we have never stops!
