Say ‘Yes’ to NCS!

Year 11 students are being offered a “once in a lifetime opportunity” to take part in the National Citizen Service (NCS) programme this summer.

Representatives from NCS came into assembly on Monday to invite Year 11s on one of their four week courses.

The scheme offers students the chance to put all the exam stress behind them and instead learn some new skills, take part in adventurous activities and participate in a community project.

The programme falls into three main parts – adventure, skills and social action. Participants will get the chance to live independently and take part in some amazing activities including paintballing, quad-biking, kayaking, coasteering and stand-up paddle boarding. They will also get the chance to make a difference to people’s lives in their local community.

All Year 11s have been given a sign-up form and anyone interested in taking part just needs to hand this in to reception. Anyone with questions can call NCS on 01202 410550 or email [email protected].
