Tesco Bags of Help – We Need Your Votes!

St Aldhelm’s Academy is to receive a cash boost from Tesco’s Bags of Help initiative – but how much we receive depends on you!

Our technician Mrs Hawes applied for a Tesco Bags of Help grant to improve the school’s garden and outdoor space and buy some much-needed tools and gardening equipment. Investing in this area would enable us to grow more vegetables and herbs for use in food technology lessons and provide a calm and relaxing place for students and staff.

We are now delighted to announce that we have reached the public vote stage and are guaranteed to receive a cash windfall!

All throughout December, customers visiting local Tesco stores will be given a blue token and asked to vote for one of three community schemes. The result will be announced in January and the project receiving the most votes will receive up to £5,000, second place up to £2,000 and third place up to £1,000.

The Bags of Help scheme is funded by the 5p bag charge in Tesco stores and benefits over 7,000 projects every year.

Please vote for us and help us make St Aldhelm’s an even better place!
