At St Aldhelm’s Academy we believe in meeting all students’ individual needs. The curriculum is broad and balanced; in such changing times we understand that it is essential that our young people are literate, numerate and well-rounded individuals.
St Aldhelm’s Academy has 3 key objectives:
- To ensure the support, structure and systems in place allow students to be “the very best that they can be” academically and socially.
- To ensure the leadership at all levels is outstanding
- To provide an outstanding educational experience for all students
St Aldhelm’s Academy works on the principle that:
“The quality of an education system cannot exceed the quality of its teachers”

Ethos – “High Expectations lead to High Achievers”
Our mantra of “High Expectations lead to High Achievers” applies to the whole community. We believe in everybody having the courage to take responsibility and to demonstrate leadership; we understand to do this takes self-confidence, self – belief and resilience; these qualities together with being reflective will allow our whole community to “be the very best that they can be” and by creating the right opportunities and experience will allow for our “high expectations to lead to high achievers”.
